The French section of the GR®965 hiking trail follows in the footsteps of Dauphiny Huguenots who were exiled to Switzerland after the Edict of Nantes was revoked in 1685. Not only does it ooze history and heritage in the towns it passes through but the path takes you to Vercors and Chartreuse Regional Nature Parks, along Bourget Lake and through Chautagne before reaching Vuache Mountain and Geneva.
